The Royal Apartments are open every day except Tuesday, from 8:30 to 19:15 (last entry 18:15), all year round. The Royal Park and the English Garden close earlier and their hours change from month to month: see the table below.

English Garden
The English Garden closes earlier than the Royal Park: one hour earlier from January to March, April to September and December, and half an hour earlier in October and November. Its last entry is one hour before its closing time. The garden is closed on free Sundays.

Park and English Garden hours vary with the season. The Royal Apartments, by contrast, open at 8:30 all year. Always check the hours page of the official website before you go.
When staff are short, part of the Royal Apartments route may be closed.
Free first Sunday
Entry is free on the first Sunday of the month, but you still need a ticket, even for children from age 2. You can only enter during the time slot printed on the ticket, with no re-entry.
On free Sundays the English Garden, the Vanvitelli and Amelio Rooms, the Great Gallery and the Court Theatre are closed.
