The easiest way to reach the Royal Palace of Caserta is by train: Caserta station is directly in front of the palace, so you leave the station, cross Piazza Carlo di Borbone and you are at the entrance. Trains run from Naples and Rome. By car, use the A1 motorway (exit Caserta Nord) or the A30 (exit Caserta Sud), but note the museum has no car park of its own.

Caserta is served by Trenitalia (the state railway, with regional and high-speed Frecciarossa trains) and Italo (a private high-speed operator). Because the station faces the palace, no taxi or bus is needed. The official directions are on the museum’s how to reach us page.
From Naples
Trains run to Caserta from Napoli Centrale and Napoli Afragola. We do not quote journey times because we could not confirm them from an official source. Check timetables on trenitalia.com or the Italo site.
From Rome
Frecciarossa and regional trains connect Rome with Caserta, sometimes with a change. Journey times vary a lot between fast and regional services and we have not verified them, so look up your exact train before you plan the day. If you go for the day from Rome, start early, as the palace needs a full day.
Are there train and ticket combos?
Yes. Third-party offers combine a priority entry ticket with a return train from Naples, and there are also tours with transport from Naples. These can be booked through the buttons on this page. Compare what is included before you book.
How do I get there by bus?
The stop is Caserta - Stazione FS. From Naples, regional buses run to “Stazione FS - Reggia di Caserta”; another option is the stop “Caserta - Casagiove”. We could not verify the operators or line numbers, so check locally before you travel.
